The CD was played once (ripped to mp3); the LP was played once on a high-quality turntable.CD 2 and LPs 2 and 3 consist of bonus, previously unreleased live content from three concerts on 1980’s Permanent Waves World Tour. (“Permanent Waves” was the first of Rush's many classic recordings made at Le Studio recording studio in Morin Heights, Quebec.)The set also originally included a 24”x36” poster, which is missing. “Permanent Waves” was Rush’s seventh studio album, originally released on January 14th, 1980. It was recorded at Le Studio in Quebec, and mixed at Trident Studios in London. The tracks were laid down just shy of four weeks, and mark a transition from long, conceptual pieces into a more accessible, radio-friendly style. The album’s opener, "The Spirit Of Radio", remains one of the most commercial songs Rush ever produced. The waving man in the foreground of the box set's cover is actually Hugh Syme, the band's long time design collaborator.
