Description: Very rare 1912 rppc postcard showing the Cluett & Sons Pianos Store. Message on the back says "this is Cluett & Sons. Mr McNally the manager is in the middle. I was in Au Sable Forks ( Clinton County New York) at the time so lost out". Postcard shows the window displayed with a Cluett Piano along with various pieces of sheet music and a gramaphone on the left side side. I am not sure of the exact New York location of the store since this card is not postmarked and Cluett & Sons had several stores in New York State at the time. Still there are clues for a "good history researcher" Next to the store was A E Powers Millinery and E Gately Clothing. On the right side was a Woolworth's 5 & 10 cent store and of course the writer says he was in Ausable Forks. So who wants to figure it out?? Sharp Real photo image postcard is in excellent not posted condition and will fit any collection including mine. This card come from my personal postcard collection and is not a recent find. Great look and subject matter for the time period. Both sides scanned. See the 2 scans. Use eBay's Enlarge feature for a closer look. E-mail if you have any questions.
