Featured for your consideration today is a beautiful Royal Worcester Bone China Plate celebrating the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The front of the plate reads "To Commemorate The Marriage of H.R.H The Prince of Wales & Lady Diana Spencer 29th July 1981". The center is adorned with a hand drawn transfer of the couple. The top crest is three feathers in a coronet with the motto "Ich Dien" which in German means "I Serve". To the left is the royal British crest, to the right is the crest of Princess Diana with the three scallop shells, and lastly depicted on the bottom of the plate is the Red Dragon representing Wales. The back of the plate reads "The Royal Marriage Plate Made In England 1981 Royal Worcester A Limited Edition of 3,000 of which this is Number 1,093. The plate is also marked with a hand written "J." and an impressed "23". Plate measures 11 inches in diameter. Case is 11-1/2 inches width, 12-3/4 inches in length and 1-1/4 inches in height. Plate could use a light cleaning. Light surface ware, no chips or cracks. Case has some surface ware. Overall in great condition. A stunning and rare find for any collector.
