Description: ROYAL KENDAL 4.75 INCH HEDGEHOG DISH FROM SHEILA MANNES-ABBOTT COLLECTION This is a 4.75 inch Royal Kendal plate from The Sheila Mannes--Abbot Collection titled "Hedgehog". Fine bone china made in England. There are no cracks or chips. Lovely design and very detailed. I believe this is from the 80's and is a nice piece for any display or collection. Principally a botanical artist Sheila Mannes-Abbott won a scholarship to Ealing School of Art at the age of 13. She was a founder member of the Society of Botanical Artists. In 2000 she was elected a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London. Winner of several RHS medals, including three golds, her works are held at Kew gardens, the Royal Horticultural Society and the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation. Condition is Pre-owned2.4oz
