Description: We are offering a charming, vintage, Royal Danube Porcelain Dish made in Japan. It is 9 inches in length, including the handle and 8 inches wide at its widest point. It is hand decorated gold gilt porcelain in a rose motif with scalloped edges in the shape of a leaf with gold gilt rims, roses and buds on a luscious pink background. The dish is marked "Royal Danube." The roses are painted in hues of red, pink, blush, white and yellow with leaves in shades of green. The piece would make a lovely candy dish or bureau or desk accessory. The Dish is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, no crazing and no utensil marks. There is a small chip on the gilt gold rim to the right of the handle on the second flute. It has been addressed, reflected in the pricing, and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. There is slight wear on the gilt gold trim consistent with age and extremely light use. Please refer to the photos. This Rose Floral Pattern was likely produced during the 1970s in Japan.
