Description: The mark on the trivet/butter board is from Aluminia. Many of the works of Royal Copenhagen's artists were also produced under the Aluminia name--Actually Aluminia had purchased Royal Copenhagen (Est.1863) in 1882, and produced under both names until 1969, when the Aluminia name was dropped. The Tranquebar service was created in 1914 by the painter Christian Joachim. Originally it was produced by the faience factory Aluminia. The main motif is a tulip framed by a braided pattern in blue colours. The service was named Tranquebar after the old Danish colony in India. The item is in used condition and does have some darker spots on it. No observed chips or cracks. Photos are part of the description so please review for condition details.
