If you have never worked with Nickle Silver wire, it is stiffer that Sterling Silver. However, it is extremely strong, and does not tarnish. Nickle Silver is also known as Alpacca Silver, German Silver, Paktong, New Silver, Nickel Silver, White Brass, or Alpaca. Typically, Nickle Silver consists of 65% copper, 18% nickel, and 17% zinc. It also may contain a small amount of antimony and tin. Nickle Silver contains no actual silver. Also it contains no lead.
