Previous owner's name in very light pencil to front free endpaper "Miss N Lane(?) / Canterbury / Orange Co / N.Y." The town of Canterbury (now known as Cornwall On Hudson) is a few miles north of West Point, on the west bank of the Hudson. "Fred W Haida Collection" stamped to title page. Research shows bibliographic references to Sabin 58634 that apparently calls for folding map at front; no map present in this copy. "Hallowed by the footsteps of Washington and Kosciuszko, adorned by nature with surpassing variety of scenery, consecrated by a nation to the Spartan-like training of her chosen youth for military service..."
