Description: Rosenthal Gold Gilt & White Porcelain Footed Demitasse Cup & Saucer 1891 - 1906 Antique German white porcelain footed demitasse cup and saucer in the empire form, with fancy gold gilding along the lip and foot rim of the cup, and edge of the saucer. Fully gilded handle. The saucer is marked on the base with a crown over R C Bavaria. This mark was used by Rosenthal between 1891 and 1906. The cup is marked with a crown over Rosenthal Empire. This mark was used between 1912 - 1918. Has some wear to the gilding that is hardly noticeable, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Cup measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 1 7/8 inches tall. Saucer measures approximately 4 7/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. JRBX
