Rosa rugosa var. rubra is rose species in the Rosaceae family. Some common names include Beach Rose, Japanese Rose, Ramana's Rose, and Letchberry. A native to Japan, China, Asia, Korea, and Siberia. It can grow to 6 feet tall and 6 feet wide. This word rugosa means wrinkled leaves. A large bloom that is a reddish-pink single flower. This rose blooms repeatedly and also has a nice fragrance. The rose hips are an Orange-red color, and in the summer, the leaves show a rich foliage color in fall. This one can grow in most soils with good drainage. Seeds are from pictures.
