The bars appear to be powder coated in black. The bars arrived with a uniform coating an no scratches. The bars themselves are internally reinforced. Most roof bars are hollow extruded aluminum. The internal reinforcing results in the bars being rigid. They have an aerodynamic profile which results wind noise. These very quiet.The roof bars are inserted into the roof mounts and secured by two hex (Allen) bolts. The fit of the bars into the mounts is very tight which will minimize vibration and noise.High Quality The roof mounts have a black plastic shell. The internal mounting hardware is metal and painted black. The grips that attach to the car’s roof rail are metal with a rubber piece that protects the car.
