Description: Vintage Ronaldus Shamask lamb suede lime green jacket, size small. Design is highly original and distinctive. My husband calls this the Jimi Hendrix jacket. Certainly has a rocker's vibe since cut is so dramatic. The color is brilliant and all the laced stitching adds to the careful construction of the jacket. Overall it's in very good condition. The top of the shoulders shows have darkened a bit from being in the closet for a few years—very slight soiling and not noticeable when on. I had the jacket dry cleaned a few years ago by a place that specializes in high end clothing and leather goods. Cost of cleaning was over $100. There's no size or fabric content tag but it fits like a French 38, Italian 38-40, US 2/XS. I'm fairly certain this is lamb or calf suede because it's so buttery soft. No stains on the inside lining. The work of Shamask is in the Costume Institute of the Met. His work displays an architectural approach to clothing design. His garments, though soft and conforming to the body, can frequently be reduced to an origami-like planarity. Measurements: chest, about 33" (jacket doesn't fasten shut); length, about 27" in the back where it's straight. Hem is slightly handkerchief. This item comes to you from a smoke free home.
