Description: Romany Gypsy Santa Wagon, 16”x11”, 1990, artist signed, AMAZING BLING!!. A romantic absolutely fabulous display of a Romany Santa with his highly decorated wagon containing all kinds of toys and tinkers pieces and bits of fur and feathers and anything you can think of… This piece is fabulous! Santa appears to be made of papier-mâché his hair and beard appear to be Wool floss wool and he’s just decked out even wearing a gold earring in his left ear. There’s more than I can explain and the best way to really see what this is it so look at the photos. I’ve taken them from every angle you can see all the wonderful little pieces put into this - it is a real work of art whether you’re a gypsy or not! This is a big piece it’s 16 inches long, 11 inches wide, and stands 14 inches tall. It sits upon a piece of wood and has a brass name tag screwed down onto the bottom that says “Romany Gypsy Santa”. On the underside of this piece is the hand signed signature of the artist, I think I have the last name correct but it’s an interesting way that it was written so you take a look… If anyone knows who this artist is I would love to hear from you. In addition, there was an envelope stuck right in the middle of this - I’m sure the envelope had been open before but it was so old when I opened it I tore the envelope a bit, but inside was an old fashion hand typed history of gypsies… Everything about this is wonderful just wonderful! I will say that it’s in really good shape considering gosh knows how it’s been stored…. there is a bird sitting a top Santa‘s shoulder and he looks like he’s seen better days perhaps you could touch him up or replace him!?! I don’t see any other damage just a nice 30+ year old piece of gypsy Christmas history! This will be very carefully package for shipping however it’s quite delicate a lot of pieces are glued in place I wouldn’t be surprised if in shipping something might become loose not broken, but loose, and that’s just a risk of shipping something as gorgeous as this.
