Decius focused on the strength defense, and renovation of Rome, and one of his projects was the Thermae Decianae or Baths of Decius on the Aventine, which survived until the 16th century. He also repaired the damaged Coliseum. He was killed along with his son in a battle with the Goths in the Battle of Abritus. This coin shows no wear and excellent detail.
