A rare Rolex Explorer I reference 1016 in stainless steel, crafted in the late 1970s originally retailed by Tiffany & Co. The 35.5mm case houses a matte black dial with Tiffany & Co, baton lume hour markers and large arabica 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. The lume remain throughout but not full or puffy. White minute hash marks and Mercedes-style sword-shaped hands with lume, has patina. Tiffany inventory numbers present under one of the lugs, and steel Oyster band from 1989. Lovely addition to vintage collection, the matte black face with steel housing lends to a sports look. Scratches and tarnish present.Original dial, hands and crown. Rolex cal. 1570, 26 jewels automatic wind movement. Serial# 5626xxx.Tiffany inventory numbers under one of the lugs marked 177xx.Rolex steel bracelet 78360 with 501B ends, from 1989 (N5).19 mm lug width.Modeled on 6 inch wrist.
