They are very light and very programmable. They are also excellent to use as midi controllers or to trigger other gear and stage effects. The on board synth engine is Roland's SuperNatural synth engine full of their legendary realistic acoustic sounds and classic synth sounds Roland is renowned for. All of these sounds can be edited and customized to your liking with the included software. This particular AX synth has spent its life time living inside the box it came in. This is a 12 year old performance synthesizer in out the box condition. Most of these AX Synths you will find these days are in worn out or stage abused condition from their play life of being used on stage. This Ax Synth was used twice inside our studio for recording and then placed on display. It is in great condition for such an old synth. The body,buttons, inputs and output jacks and keys are in out the box condition as you'd expect. There is a small scuff next to the "write button" (as pictured) from where the Ax Synth's original display stand broke and scratched it. Other than that this synthesizer is in out the box condition. Even the keys are still glossy as they've yet to be truly played (Note: This is still a decade old synth so there may be some minor blemishes).
