Description: You are viewing a 1988 topps gallery of champions bronze edition card. This early oddball topps issue was only available from topps directly. These sets were made in identical aluminum, bronze, and silver versions. The sets consisted of 12 cards of league and award winners in various categories for that year and were very expensive, even by today's standards. The cards are 1/4 the size of a regular card. The card is a solid bronze replica of the player's 1991 topps card. Like many unusual issues, interest started to really die down as the years went by. The later issues particularly 1990 and 1991 are much tougher to obtain than the earlier issues. All of these are pretty rare, but the last couple of years are extremely limited. Very well done, finely detailed, and tough to find. Topps made these sets from the years 1984-1991. We will be carrying/listing a nice run of the singles from all years.
