Some of that energy is lost through heat transfer in the motor structure. This heat is dissipated by moving air through the speaker’s voice coil as it moves up and down. Heat is also dissipated through the speaker’s magnet. Having temperature sensitive items like clothing or plastics in direct contact with the speaker magnet can heat-up and warp. SOLUTION: We suggest keeping valueables stored in motorcycle bags at least 2-inches or more away from the speaker magnet. This will give the speaker enough room to dissipate heat and circulate air through the vents located on the back of the magnet. It will also prevent items from shifting inside the bag and unintentionally making contact with the speaker’s motor structure.
