Description: The stuff that dreams are made of! This is an original Robert Johnson pressing from 1937. Own a piece of history with the blues’ most mythic legend. Robert Johnson is said to have sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads in Mississippi, in exchange for the gift to master his craft. Vocalion records set up a makeshift recording studio in the Gunter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. 29 sides were recorded over two sessions (‘36 & ‘37) and the rest is history. Johnson died mysteriously a year later at the age of 27. This record grades V , maybe a tad better on the Malted Milk side. Still retains a little lustre. This record was loved and played , but can still be enjoyed! There is a tiny edge glue repair on the Milkcows side that doesn’t go into the grooves, except for about 3 small clicks to start the side. I have over 20 years dealing with rare and fragile 78’s and will package this gem with utmost attention using the 78 shellac record standard for securely shipping safely. The record will be sandwiched between several cardboard squares and packed into the middle of a large box (12” x 12” x 6”) filles with foam peanuts. Shipping costs to Canada and the U.S. will be roughly 20$ , about 25$ to Europe. Ask me any questions and I will gladly get back to you promptly! All the best, Will
