Description: A humorous and whimsical lithograph signed in the plate by R. Hogsfeldt. Gustav Robert Hogfeldt was born in 1894 in the Netherlands and died in 1986. His style was popular in children's books and postcards. One of his favorite characters was trolls. This pair is a great illustration that shows his work. Some of his works are even in the Swedish National Museum. This lithograph is numbered G & Z. 409. The frame and lithograph is in excellent, clean condition. Frame measures 16 1/4" long x 13 1/4" tall x 1" thick wood frame. The print is protected under the glass. The wood frame is nicely painted in beige and 'scribbled' with black ink. Nicely finished with a high gloss poly. The wood frame has a fabric mat and there is a wire on the back so it is ready to hang. Frame is in very good vintage condition. There is a price tag on the back from Aaron Brothers for $4.80 each in 1980. I am also listing more lithographs by R. Hogsfeldt. If you are interested in more than one, let me know and I'll create a listing just for you and give you a great price and combine shipping.
