Description: My reproduction Titanic lifebelts are both machine- and hand-stitched, crafted from solid cork and canvas. Only fourteen Titanic lifebelts are known to exist today, and this lifebelt represents those used by passengers aboard the Titanic. I had the opportunity to inspect and make restoration improvements to Ken Marschall's original lifebelt, taking detailed measurements that I applied to my replicas. This is a limited run where I use white canvas paired with natural linen twill. The whip stitch thread is hand bleached to match. Details: Fabric: Whitel cotton canvas. Twill Tapes: Natural color linen twill. Dimensions: Approximately 49 inches long by 12 inches wide. Cork Blocks: Approximately two-inch thick cork cells, with six on each side, divided down the center. Linen Thread: Hand double whip-stitched sides Weight: Approximately 5 Note: Display stand and bust are not included. Disclaimer: This item is designed exclusively for use as a costume or display piece. Warning: The 1912 overhead-style cork lifebelt is not considered safe or effective for flotation. Using it as a flotation device may result in serious injury or death. Important Notice: These replica lifebelts do not conform to personal flotation device standards UL 12402 or ISO 12402.
