Description: River Side Park Mausoleum Park Cemetery Moline Illinois Postcard Riverside Park Cemetery, now known as Riverside Cemetery is located in Moline, Illinois. It can trace its beginnings to Moline Cemetery, which was established in 1851. The Chapel Mausoleum was completed in 1916. The Greek Revival style structure is built of #1 Peerless Buff stone. It contains 800 single crypts, 48 companion niches and features stained glass windows. Riverside Cemetery is the final resting place of approximately 28,000 people, including John Deere, founder of Deere & Company, Francis Dickens, son of Charles Dickens and many more. Thomas Dexter Press 1934-1977 West Nyack, NY. 37591-B dated 1960: Thomas A. Dexter opened his first printshop in Park Ridge, NJ in 1920. He moved to Pearl River, NY eight years later, and by the 1930’s he was producing postcards, mostly linens but also black & white and hand colored cards covering a wide variety of subjects. Although an early pioneer of natural color images, the firms output seems to have only turned exclusively to photochromes after they moved to West Nyack, NY around 1952 when their old shop grew too small. Most of the photochromes printed by Dexter Press bore the words Genuine Natural Color. Please review the photos carefully for condition and detail. Normal wear associated with an old postcard might have creases, corner bumps, ink on the front etc.
