Description: Beautiful, vintage HO scale Rivarossi Clinchfield 4-6-6-4 Challenger Locomotive with Centipede Coal Tender in Like New Condition in Original Box. Road # 670, Stock # 1597. Made in Italy. Take a look at the photos (enlarged) and see what you think. (Pardon any camera flash reflection.) ALL factory-installed detail parts appear to be present as loco looks to have been very gently run! Loco & tender bodies are in "like new" condition with no significant chips or scratches. Model was track-tested and ran excellent/smoothly, for just a few feet in both directions on a straight track to confirm it runs. Headlight illuminates. As can be seen in last 2 photos, all the blackened metal wheels on the locomotive & tender indicate only "light to moderate" use at most, and they are also extremely clean! The tender has a factory-installed horn-hook coupler (snap-in type), which can be easily swapped out by buyer, if desired. Tender does not utilize electrical pick-ups. (The loco will run without the tender.) The loco is mostly solid black in color with white lettering. The add-on cab handrails and drive wheel brake shoes are present in still-sealed baggie stored in styrofoam insert (see them best in 2nd photo). Also present in that baggie is a snap-in type alternate European coupler. Loco is being sold "As Is", of course, so be sure to review all the photos and ask any questions before buying! The box is shelf-worn, and it still remains in very good/solid condition. The styrofoam insert is also in very good shape. The 2 cardboard covers are excellent. All the original paperwork is included and dated 1995.
