Description: Original 21"x 31 1/4" Rick Griffin poster created in 1982 for a Museum of Rock Art, Hollywood, California show in Daytona Beach, Florida sponsored by the Chrysler Corporation. Catalog No. AOR-4.279 Rick Griffin was, in many people’s opinion, the most talented of the 1960s poster artists. He is well known for his bold, inventive graphics and inimitable lettering styles. In 1982, there was a traveling exhibit of rock art that was sponsored by Chrysler and held in Daytona Beach, FL. Griffin’s art was selected for this great-looking poster that was used to advertise the event.Beautiful condition. Printed on heavy weight paper. I acquired this poster directly from Rick Griffin when I visited him at his home in Southern California in 1986. Having been an admirer of his artwork since I purchased the Grateful Dead's Aoxomoxoa lp at the time of its release, it was a pleasure to spend a few hours with him and his wife, Ida. I have held on to this item and it keep out of light since then. We offer professional customer service, ship next business day (insured), and handle all items with care. Buy with confidence.
