Description: First Prize - Fall Festival - Industrial Parade - The Palladium, Original 1913 Silver Cup Presentation Trophy. ~ The Cup is Quadruple Silver Plated, however there is some silver plate loss to portions of the Trophy. The handles are missing, and there are a few small dings. ~ The Cup measures about 12 inches tall. ~ I found the following information regarding this Trophy in the Richmond Palladium (Daily), Volume 38, Number 271, 22 September 1913, regarding prizes given for best display in floats: "Demas Coe Fraternal: Prizes for the best display in floats of any organization religious, fraternal or labor have been decided upon as follows: First Prize $50 and a Silver Cup, second prize $25 and a Silver Cup,....." Other information that I found in another issue of the same newspaper indicated that this event was held in the years, "1908 - 1909 - 1910 & 1913." The event drew thousands to Richmond to witness the Parades, Industrial & Agricultural Exhibits. ~ A very nice and rare Richmond, Indiana Historical piece that will display very nicely. ~ This item will be superbly packaged to ensure a safe delivery. ~ All questions are welcome. ~ Thanks!
