Stone of this colour and with these inclusions is very sought after. In studying the geology of the area and the pieces of stone strewn around I have reason to believe that this is from an exclusive deposit. The carving shape is sharp and fine being very thick (Over an inch or 25 mms)in places. The surface has a fine satin to polish finish.
