Description: This drill chuck/arbor was included in a tool lot I purchased. I'm listing it because I have several other drill chucks. The chuck was made by Röhm GmbH Sontheim (Germany) and is marked with the Röhm trademark, "1/16-1/2", "Key S9", "T.6" and "Germany". The NMTB 30 arbor has no manufacturer or other markings. It shows many dings and some gouges from use and storage. There is surface corrosion, but it is not massively rusty. From wide open (1/2") to about 3/8", the geared shell turns freely, but from 3/8" down, it gets tight. Before use, it should probably be disassembled, cleaned/polished internally and lubricated before being reassembled. With a 3/8" dowel pin inserted hand tight (I do not have a key that fits this chuck), my test indicator showed about 0.0015" runout at about 1" below the jaws. The NMTB 30 arbor is in GOOD overall condition. The taper and drawbar threads are smooth. The arbor fits my Index 847 30-taper vertical mill securely and draws up tight and concentric into the spindle. ALL PHOTOS SHOW THE ACTUAL LISTED ITEM
