Rhipsalis paradoxa - Mistletoe Cactus - Rare Jungle Cactus

Description: Rhipsalis paradoxa Native to southwestern Brazil, these plants are naturally epiphytic (growing in trees), and offer long strands of 3-4 sided, segmented foliage. The segments are each about 2", and are produced in zigzag links in pairs, or whorls of up to 8. In summer, 3/4" white flowers appear at the stem tips; followed by white tinged pink, spherical fruits. Can grow to lengths of 16 feet! This wonderful and odd species has graced my collection since the 1970s, and is still a favorite. I remember the former nursery owner (the late Marlene Rainman - Rainman Succulent Nursery), who had this in her greenhouse when I was a kid; she always described it to customers by saying that it looks like it was formed out of green playdough. With a little stretch of ones' imagination, I guess it does, and her description has always stayed with me (...so has the plant). This offering is for one 6-8" stem cutting - freshly cut and dipped in rooting hormone. The cutting you will receive is healthy and true to name (and may show a few nicks and dings). Cultivation Instructions Included with Purchase! I've been growing and collecting Epiphyllums and other jungle cacti for nearly 50 years, and enjoy over 700 varieties in my collection. It would be hard to choose a favorite, but it would probably have to be the one that's right in front of me! All photos are of plants in my own collection - unless stated otherwise. Flower photos are for reference only. Not in bloom. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - SORRY - I ONLY SHIP TO THE US. I do combine shipping for multiple items - please request a new shipping total before checking out. Please Note: requesting combined shipping can not be done on a phone - the request must be made from a computer or tablet.
