They could have listened to Star Trek on an Astronaut! Very cool! I am not sure what the "SW" setting is for....maybe you CAN talk to aliens? (don't count on it!) The radio is in excellent working condition with very little wear. The telescoping antenna is still pristine and has no damage. It takes 4 C batteries and there is no corrosion on the terminals. The radio's dimensions are approx: 10 1/2" tall x 8" wide x 3 1/2" deep. It would be a great working addition to any vintage electronics collection, or just a fun portable music machine. It's out of this world!! (you knew that pun was coming!)
