Description: For all those interested in quality, vintage/ retro glassware from well known Glassmakers of the day ... the original company was Foster Bros Glass Works, est 1855; then Diamond Glass Co Ltd 1890; Dominion Glass Co 1913; Domglas 1976 and finally Libbey Inc 1993 - through time and various acquisitions.Offered here is a COMPLETE Set-of-FOUR, Retro-Dominion Glass Co, Cobalt-Blue-Tinted Clear-Glass, Juice-Glasses - with applied Snow-White & Mid-Blue Opaque Floral Graphics - in MOST-Excellent barely-used condition - made in the 1960's or 1970's ...ALL surfaces are highly-glossy, clean and shiny. There are NO cracks, chips, flea bites; NO stains, significant scratches, nor rubs; NO hazing nor wear pattern loss ... there is a tiny pin-prick rough spot on the top edge of one glass (an open air bubble, perhaps) and there is 3/4-ths of a flower missing on one glass, from manufacture. The form of these Juice-Glasses is RETRO - flared at the top, S-profile to above the thick and solid glass, weighted pedestal base. The crystal-clear tempered glass is tinted Deep Cobalt-Blue, which is in stark contrast to the delicate fired-on opaque Snow-White Graphics and well-complements the opaque Mid-Blue Graphics, beneath. The opaque SNOW-WHITE, fired-on, graphics is of stylized daisy flowers - in a band - all the way around each Juice Glass, near the top. Beneath the white flowers is a wider band of daisies and a draping garland - fired on - in opaque MID BLUE - all the way around each Juice Glass. Each Juice Glass measures - 2 5/8" in diameter, across the top edge; 2 7/8" at maximum diameter-width; 4 1/4" in height; 1 3/4" in diameter, across the base; the pedestal base is 5/8" thick. Each Juice Glass is embossed with the tell-tale, iconic "D" associated with Dominion Glass, on the center-base.SOME INTERESTING INFORMATION –Dominion Glass Co. -For all those interested in quality, vintage-retro glassware from well-known Glass-makers of the day ... the original company was Foster Bros Glass Works, est 1855; then Diamond Glass Co Ltd 1890; Dominion Glass Co 1913; Domglass 1976 and finally Libbey Inc 1993 - over time and through various acquisitions.
