Description: Here for the American Girl Doll collector is a GORGEOUS Pre-Mattel American Girl Doll Kirsten in original Pleasant Company box with brochure, book and hand tag. Doll appears to be lightly used or not at all. The lettering "Pleasant Company" and the copyright sign are stamped on the back of her neck, and the artist mark is partially visible at the hairline behind her right ear. Long white neck strings are intact. Tan cloth body is the earlier chubbier version. She holds a pose and stands easily on her own. Blonde hair is in the original factory braids and held in place by the original blue woven hair ties. Soft brown sweeping eyelashes frame perfect blue eyes (no silvering). She comes wearing her calico meet dress, tagged Pleasant Company, white pantalettes, apron, stockings and brown boots. She also arrives with her soft cover "Meet Kirsten" book, brochure and hang tag that reads "doll made in Germany." (note: box with band is intact and functional but has some shelf wear consistent with age.)
