Description: This putter was designed by Sandy Reese as a multi use putter. It was featured in the 2009 book Seven Days at The Links of Utopia and made into the movie with Robert Duvall in 2011, Seven Days in Utopia as a face on (sidesaddle) putter. I visited Sandy in his Florida home in 2009 and bought the putter with long and short shafts, weight kits and spare shaft attachments. A key part of the design is the unique ability to adjust the lie angle. The metal of the shaft attachment is formulated to be bent and not break. You can easily go from an upright 80 degree lie angle with a long shaft to a short shaft with a more traditional lie. Simply stand on the head and gently bend into the desired position. The putter is in good shape but as you see in the photos a few scratches. Weight can easily be adjusted with the two weight ports in the back and a variety of weights is included. It is sold with both long and short shafts including the original long shaft that is not in good shape on the grip end. The other shafts and grips are in good shape. I had a custom leather cover made since the original covers deteriorated over the years. Although I now put sidesaddle with a L.A.B. Broomstick I still use this putter occasionally. It is a great putter and a collector’s piece you can actually use. I have two so I am selling one. You may still be able to fine the original internet add online by searching Resso Cook putter or Resso putter. Sadly Sandy passed away just before the movie was released.
