(4 1/2" x 8") The notice reads, "The Republicans of Goshen are requested to meet at the Town Hall in said town Saturday Eve, the 23rd at 7 o'clock to choose delegates to the Senatorial Convention to be held at Pittsfield Monday October 25th at 12 o'clock. Also [to choose] the delegates to the Representative District Convention to be held at the Town Hall in Worthington on Wednesday October 27th, 1869 at 10 o'clock A.M. Per order of Town Committee. Signed "C. A. Packard, Chairman." **CONDITION** - the notice appears to have been nailed to a wall and later pulled off, as there are small tears at the corners where the nails would have been. It would have been displayed in some public place such as a general store of post office where people would see it.
