Description: This is a replica of the strap Eddie Van Halen used on several of his guitars, including the Shark, Black & White Frankenstrat and Megazone guitars. At the time, Van Halen repurposed an old WWII aircraft safety belt for this strap. This strap has been carefully recreated using rare authentic parts. The steel spring snap is rare, dead stock from the 1940's, stored away for over 80 years. The period style cotton strap is even stitched on period correct singer sewing machines. The stamps and stencils are carefully replicated to match Eddie's strap. Overall, this strap is a very cool piece of history. Eddie used a black leather extension to rig the strap to his guitar.
