This is One of Salten’s final novels, as he passed away in 1945. Signed copies of his books are not easy to find, and this appears to be the only signed copy of this particular title that is currently available. As best I can tell, the book likely originally belonged to a young man in Michigan who later became one of 146 members of the U.S. military to be awarded the Medal Of Honor (posthumously) during the Korean War after he was killed in combat in 1952. There is a small address sticker affixed to the FFEP. There is also a small sticker from an old bookstore in Detroit at the bottom of the rear inside cover.
