Description: I found this costume at an estate in St Augustine, Florida at a home built in the 1800s across the street from the old military fort that was built by the Spanish in the 1700s. It is beautifully made with quality and detail in the garments which easily could be worn as everyday clothing. I could imagine that this must have been part of the history of the family on the estate participating in something to do with being in the oldest city in the US and the activities at the Castillo de San Marcos fort. See pictures for measurements. The waist is tiny but has extra fabric to move the buttons on each side. My mannequin is a size medium so you can see what this looks like on it. A few spots as shown in pictures one on the vest and the Chemise and I have not laundered.
