The serial number indicates that it was made around 1922. It is a gem from about 100 years ago, so it is very impressive.It had rust, dirt, and pain due to aging, so we disassembled and cleaned it as much as possible, removed the rust, lubricated it, and maintained it so that it can type.There is a function to free the paper feed, but it cannot be used due to the missing function. If the paper is skewed, please re-insert the paper again. Also, paper feeding is sometimes poor. If this happens, turn the knob while pulling the paper by hand. The rubber roller was cracked and has been repaired with adhesive. The rope-like wire that moves the carriage was broken and has been replaced with a metal replacement wire. One protector for the base had deteriorated and has been replaced with a new, commercially available replacement. The leather band on the handle was cracked and has been repaired with synthetic leather material. The lock of the case is broken. A band is attached as a replacement. Please wear it when carrying the case.We have confirmed that there are no problems with other operations and movements. We have not used it for a long time and there is a risk of defects, but normal typing operation is smooth. It also makes a typing end sound and a tinkling sound.The ink ribbon has been rewound with a new one on a genuine spool. The printing condition does not seem to be bad. Please check the pictures for the printing condition. The ink ribbon will be attached as is. Please be aware that you will have to rewind the ribbon onto a genuine spool since a commercially available spool cannot be used when replacing the ink ribbon. This may be a hassle, but we believe it will make you feel more attached to the product.The parts of the frame and each operating parts that are badly rusted, scratched, or dirty are painted to be close to the original color. There are some signs of use such as uneven coloring, minor scratches and stains after painting. The case was dirty, sore, and peeling. It has been restored to some extent and painted green on the inside and black on the outside, but it is not fully hidden.The product can be used immediately upon arrival. We will provide you with a simple operation manual of our own making, including the operation of the key buttons and each lever, and how to change the ribbon, etc. There are some operations that are unique to Remington that we think you can use. In particular, there is an operation before you start typing. You will not be able to type without this operation, so it is recommended that you read it.
