Description: Old Remington mechanical writing machine / typewriter. Has some minor cosmetic flaws (rubs / corner paint loss, corrosion, somebody scratched initials into the side you can see in pic 12), but overall I think the machine itself and case are clean. Installed new ribbon on the existing spools. Tested as best I know and all the functions seem to be working fine, and you should be able to start typing with it right away. Rubber is a little hard, but surprisingly not bad for the vintage. Smells like a typewriter, but I wouldn't consider it overwhelming. Case is actually in pretty good condition for the vintage. Not sure if that's the original handle, but works / looks fine. No paperwork or key. Great looking snappy little machine. I am enthusiastic about typewriters, but by no means an expert or professional repair person. Pictures of the typeface can be seen in the gallery. I didn't look real hard, but couldn't find the serial number... if it matters to you and you know where it is let me know & I'll get a pic. All pictures were taken outside in natural light and are a big part of the description. Please review them carefully, use the zoom, and make sure this machine will work for you.
