You are buying a very nice 28 spline GM 10 Bolt 7 1/2 or 7 5/8 inch locking differential, commonly referred to as a ‘gov-loc’ posi unit. These are OEM lockers and are not meant to be a performance type differential. They work very well on slippery surfaces such as mud, snow, sand, more so where one wheel has no traction and the other does. If you use them for other purposes, do so at your own risk. It has been completely rebuilt, totally disassembled, cleaned and then all the parts were inspected. The ONLY way to check any posi, especially these gov-loc units is to visually look at the internals. We do it on each and every one we sell.
