Description: These are some of the best USA made vises ever! Made in the 40's with great metallurgy! This was used lightly in a trade school where they were all bought brand new and never outside. I started cleaning it with a wire wheel and in about 30 minutes it already looking good. 4.5" HIGH CARBON jaws that are in great shape and open to 7.5" as the pics show. 360 swivel base that locks tight. Screw and nut are in good shape with a smooth action. Tight tolerances on these vises and you can really feel the weigh and quality. THEY ARE NOT MAKING ANYMORE OF THESE AND UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND OVER A 1000 TO 2500K like I see for a modern USA made of this quality these are worth way more than asking price. FIRM on price. I have no reason to sell for cheap and can wait for years since these are only going to stay the same condition and continue to be more rare. This one will be a shelf queen until it is sold, have a couple already on the shop tables.
