Description: Riihimäen Lasi was founded in 1910 in Riihimäki in southern Finland. The glass company was active until 1990 and employed distinguished designers such as Helena Tynell, Nanny Still, and Tamara Aladin. Tamara Aladin designed from 1959, she brought a very different inspiration than her predecessors, with simple forms, cased glass with opaque glass applications and textures. This Koralli piece is a good example of her work, during 1970s. The cylinder vase is 6 inches high and 4.5 inches in diameter. Not signed but with the vintage Riihimaen Lasi clear label on upper rim.
