Description: This is a very rare limited edition record released to promote the 2013 World Finals event of the Red Bull Thre3style DJ competition, held that year in Toronto, Canada. This promo release is so rare that it doesn’t even have a listing on Discogs. The format of the record is that of a spinable press kit, hosted by world-renowned Canadian DJ and record producer Skratch Bastid. He gives a spoken introduction to the competition, its background, how it’s judged and then presents complete tracks by past winners: DJ Karve of France (winner of 2010 Paris), Hedspin (winner of 2011 Vancouver) and Four Color Zack (winner of 2012 Chicago). The B-Side includes a curated compilation of DJ-ready samples including snippets of movie/TV dialogue, sound effects, acappellas, instrumental hooks and break beats. The record concludes with an exclusive, un-released Skratch Bastid original. Media Grading: VG High gloss with a light scratch of the A-side (audible but is mostly heard on the spoken non-musical intro track) and an odd-shaped whisp mark on the B-side. Light spindle marks on the label. Outer Jacket Grading: VG Bumped corners on both the bottom corners causing light creases, storage wear on the edges and spine, light soiling, and some ringwear/scuffing on the front and disc impression.
