Description: Up for sale here is this complete recap kit for the Realistic LAB-400 turntable. This includes all the capacitors you need to replace all of the original electrolytic capacitors on both the power supply board and the motor board. It also includes replacements for both safety capacitors. The old capacitors start getting leaky, resulting in speed issues. This will take care of most of the circuit-board-related issues you will see with these turntables.Even if your turntable is working, you should still recap it. This kit includes replacements for all electrolytic capacitors and safety capacitors on the boards. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I work on vintage stereo gear. Capacitors are Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Kemet film, Supertech axial, and Wima film. One transistor is included, to replace the old 2SD313 on the power supply board. I will include fairly basic instructions, but this is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron. Please note that these turntables will frequently need other lubrication and mechanical work, and this kit and the instructions will not cover that. I will provide a link to download a free service manual from VinylEngine, which will be helpful. This kit includes axial capacitors to replace the axial caps on the MKL-15B motor. If you plan to recap your motor as part of this, please check to make sure your motor uses the axial caps.
