Description: The basket opens and the handle does fold down. This is a genuine wicker mid century lamp. It’s a working wicker basket mounted to a piece of wood with the lamp running through the middle. It has real age to it and probably dates to the 1950s. It’s in great condition but it’s dusty at the bottom of the inside and underneath the wicker, on the wood. There are several places where it needs minor repair: the catch for the basket part has come off but it is present, there’s one bottom corner where the very end of the cane “thread” has come a little loose. One of the “hinge” parts to the cover that opens, has come undone. The cover closes fine and you don’t notice anything, but when you open it, one side is not hinged like other. It measures approximately 32” tall and 9” x 9” at the base. It has what looks to be the original wiring. It’s advised to upgrade this for safety reasons. The lamp could do with being taken apart and cleaned anyway. This is a very original Mid Century Lamp.
