(Mistake? Nope!) The first time I used it, I was in awe at how smooth it slid on and still looked great hours later. I put eyeliner on my waterline and this one actually stayed. I was slightly concerned (at first) when I could not twist the brown thing at the top to push the 'lead' eyeliner filler out. So I looked it up online, because I fell in love and I refused to believe it was a one-time use liner. As it turns out, it is actually a pencil! (What? A gel pencil liner?!) Yes, it CAN be sharpened! Someone on another website mentioned you have to have a nice sharpener; now I don't know if I have that, but I just cleaned out the one I already had and began to sharpen. For me, it was just a little tough to turn the pencil (could be the sharpener getting dull) - but once I did get it turned, it sharpened almost immediately, and I was ecstatic. I love this liner, and I'm going to have to buy more!Pros: Glides on super easy, it doesn't come off during regular use, not a twisty-top but actually a gel-pencil, but most of all it's water-proof so it looks great ALL day!Cons: MIGHT be difficult to sharpen (depending on the quality of your sharpener) Review #2***** 5 stars 5.0 out of 5 stars Love this!I have oily skin and mortal eyeliners get eaten alive, melting out within hours. This stuff stays put. Blendable/smudgeable immediately after application, it quickly dries to a nice smudgeproof, long-lasting finish. The finish is very slightly tacky so if you apply powder eyeshadow after, it will grip it. That can be good or bad depending on what you want. This gel pencil can be layered nicely. First application is somewhat subdued. But apply, let dry, and reapply and color is nice and bold. Still stays put nicely. A note to other users. It is NOT an automatic eyeliner -- i.e. you don't twist part of the pencil to get more product. You use a nice sharp sharpener and you sharpen it like a traditional pencil. Be careful to hold it level and not wiggle while sharpening. If it mushes too much while sharpening, pop the pencil in the fridge for a bit.
