Description: This 44 caliber RCBS 2 cavity mold casts a 200 grain bullet at .428-.429". I have been told it's closer to .428 by another ebayer. I don't remember since it's been so long since I cast with it. It has a wide lube band for cowboy action shooting. I'm not sure why the bluing or whatever finish they use didn't take squarely across both bottom halves. It doesn't affect casting. I bought it new from Midsouth. Talking to their customer service they said I would have to ship it back to RCBS. It never gave me any problems. It is suitable for 44/40. Possibly for another 44-caliber gun depending on your bore. Make sure you know what your bore slugs before purchasing this mold. This mold is in very good shape and should last you a lifetime. I decided to cast a few bullets to see the diameter. I have enclosed micrometer pictures of 5 bullets. The mold took on a different patina after casting 6 bullets. It had been several years since I used this mold. Please ask all questions before the auction ends. Midway has this mold on sale for $131.00.
