Description: Raymor MCM Italy Ashtray With Abstract Sgraffito And Hand Painted Design. A rare and unusual design and texture. We only found the paint design on one other piece that was being attributed to Alvino Bagni, however there was no evidence seen for that attribution. The glaze and clay color are similar to Bagnis, but that is not proof of origin. There are numerous places missing the white glaze, however the somewhat wild abstract sgraffito technique appears to have pulled it off before firing as there is a layer of glaze over the missing areas. There are a few small chips and some wear, however it does not appear to have been used as an ashtray. Measures 8-1/4” long and 5” wide. Look at all the pictures as they show details of the condition and are part of the description.
