Description: This $100 Confederate Note was produced in 1862 and issued into circulation in 1863. It was interest bearing at the rate of 2 cents per day. Interestingly, there are no stampings to indicate that interest was ever paid on this particular note. At 163 years old, it has held up very well. Any folds, creases, wrinkles - "crinkles" - are more visible on the reverse, the front design helping to minimize their visibility on the face. There are 4 margins, design not cut into, no pieces missing, no obvious pinholes. Nice.
