Description: Ugo Correani has been described as one of fashion jewelry's best-kept secrets. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s Ugo Correanifrequently collaborated with fashion giants such as Valentino, Christian Lacroix and Karl Lagerfeld. When Correani collaborated with Gianni Versace in 1984, Correani, and not Versace, was the recognizable star and giant in the fashion world - Versaceunderstood that the pieces would be signed Ugo Correani. This rare necklace is an excellent example of pure, classic Versace opulence and creative design. It features a chain madeof four gold tone metal tubes, two stationery, and two with movement, and a huge, off center adornment of a faceted oval faux citrine surrounded by highly polished gold tone metal mesh, with folds, and dimensional, rounded petals. Piece measures 15 1/2" long, adjustable to 19 1/2" long; the statement adornment measures 3" high x 4" wide. Fully hallmarked - clearly signed "CORREANI" and "MADE IN ITALY" on the underside. Intended to be flaunted, this collector's piece, circa 1980s, is in excellent vintage condition, as shown. Enjoy! b/t
