The rare statue can be hanged from the ceiling, lamp, or door frame. HAND PAINTED MEXICAN FOLK ART FIGURE CARVED FROM SOLID PIECE OF WOOD; WINGS AND DETAILS ARE ATTACHED. There are minor spots of lost paint and very minor cracks on wood due to age (see photos), easy to reinforce with silicone if desired. GUERRERO-STYLE. Circa 1970's. CARVED FROM ONE SOLID PIECE OF WOOD; WINGS ATTACHED! Wood-carved guardian angels and winged cherubs used to be a part of home décor in the Mexican villages for centuries, since they are believed to bring good luck. The statues were carved from a solid Madera wood; Gesso was then applied on the surface of the statue and painted over. Wings are attached by nails. There are no two Cherubs that are exactly alike.
